MADRID/SACRAMENTO. The bacteria Xylella fastidiosa is continuing to spread in affected areas in Spain. It has now spread to shrubs such as chamomile and rosemary.

Reports state that 16,620 infected almond trees had to be uprooted already and that approximately 55,800 trees will follow.
