Almonds: Current prices and export figures

SACRAMENTO. For the fourth year in a row, US exporters are recording record monthly almond deliveries. Unusually warm weather is causing premature flowering in California.

 

Exports reach new records

Since the beginning of the season, US almond exporters have shipped nearly 400,000 mt of almonds abroad, about 12% more than last year at this time. Including deliveries to the domestic market (161,423 mt), 558,900 mt of US almonds have already been marketed, an increase of 10% compared to the same time last year.

Global Top Importer India has increased almond imports by 33% to 65,921 mt. China and the Middle East (with Turkey in the lead, due to a reduction in import duties) also increased imports in January to cover
