MADRID/SACRAMENTO. Last Friday, the National Agricultural Statistics Service published this year’s production estimate for California. In Spain, too, the first market players are currently expressing their opinions on production.

At least 80,000 mt in Spain

As Spanish agricultural media report, the disastrous night frosts were followed by good weather with occasional rain showers. This naturally improves prospects. In addition, it should be noted that an increase in acreage has been observed. Farmgate prices are no longer rising in Spain. TIOGA Trading estimates production at 80,000-85,000 mt.
