Almonds: considerable differences in price

MADRID. Although trading activities are very much subdued in Spain, there are enormous differences in price in the export market.

Limited supplies for organic almonds

Trading is largely subdued in the spot markets in Albacete and Murcia. Reus remained completely closed last week. Organic almonds are trading in a stable range.

The export prices for Valencia almonds vary by up to EUR 0.30/kg depending on supplier. Natural Valencia almonds,12/14 mm are trading in a range of EUR 6.45-6.55/kg EXW Spain and blanched almonds in a range of EUR 7.65-7.80/kg. The supplies of organic almonds remain highly limited.
