MADRID/SACRAMENTO. The final month of the export season has now started. Contrary to expectations, prices have, however, remained stable.

Stable prices in Spain

Although the prices have dropped in the local markets such as Murcia and Reus since last week, export prices remain stable. The promising crop outlook and lack of trading activities in Spain are prompting stable prices with nominal decreases. Natural Largueta almonds are currently trading at 5.75 EUR/kg. This is approximately 3.50 EUR/kg cheaper than last year when frost caused prices to rise. Valencia almonds are on average trading 0.50 EUR/kg above last year’s prices.
