Sunflower seeds: suppliers try to renegotiate

SOFIA. The price increase in the Bulgarian sunflower seed market has surprised many suppliers. They are now looking for ways to compensate for the higher farmgate costs.

Prices reach 4-year high

Prices for black  in shells with a  96% purity have increased again this week and are at a level of EUR 363 per metric tonne CPT Varna. There is little physical trade at these prices. Traders and farmers hold back their goods in order to let the prices rise further. Market players do not expect prices to decline for the time being.
