SOFIA/BRUSSELS. While the sunflower seed harvest in Bulgaria is now complete, farmers in Russia and Ukraine are still in the process. A price decline is still not in sight. Meanwhile, the EU Commission announced its updated crop estimates.

Buyers stock up on the bare necessities

Bulgaria's sunflower seed harvest is now complete, but the hoped-for easing of market prices has still not taken place. Especially after last year's disappointing crop result, however, many buyers are dependent on buying at least the bare essentials even at the current prices. However, market players have not yet given up hope that prices will soon drop again, at least for a short time.
