Sultanas: TARİŞ issues new crop price

MANISA. Umbrella cooperative TARİŞ has announced a purchasing price for sultanas unusually early in the season. Harvesting has started, but output will not be as good as expected.

For the first time in history TARİŞ has announced an advance purchase price for sultana raisins as early as the start of August. Issue is not only that the union is keen to support producers and partners in selling raisins but also that harvesting has started earlier than usual. The advance purchase price has been issued for type 7 seedless sultana raisin and stands at TRY 100/kg. Further purchase prices will be determined later as based on quality.
