... already started to dry excess fruits, which may cause the supplies of dried gapes to rise.

Traders in Turkey reckon that the farmgate prices will remain stable at TRY 9 per kg this season. Currently, the bid prices range at TRY 8.50 per kg. The farmers are, however, refusing to sell at this low price. Although the government has set a base price of TRY 10 per kg, market players are not reckoning with an intervention of the TMO in the near future.
