MANISA/DALIAN. The Turkish dried fruit producers do not want to completely wipe away the risk of frost, even though it is becoming increasingly unlikely. Meanwhile, market participants expect sultana production to be significantly higher than in 2018/19.

Export speed throttled
Since the beginning of the season, 176,500 mt of sultanas and raisins have been delivered abroad, around 2.4% less than last year around this time. At the same time, the average export price of 1,964 USD/mt is 25.5% higher than in the previous year. It is unlikely that there will be any remaining stocks at the end of the season if exports maintain their current pace.
