MANISA. Sultana production is running at full speed in Manisa. However, export prices for the new crop have doubled year-on-year. From the beginning of September, it will become clear whether this level can be maintained.

Quality can convince

In the Turkish province of Manisa, farmers are fully occupied with sultana production. As expected, the harvesting process has shown that yields have once again been comparatively low this year, although the fruit have been of good quality so far. The weather remains hot and dry with daytime temperatures of 37-40°C, ideal conditions for the drying period.
