Sultanas: Dangerous weather conditions

MANISA. Producers are highly concerned over this week’s hailstorms in Manisa. Meanwhile, the market is anticipating the arrival of the new crop.

 

Subdued trading activities

Trading activities are currently subdued in Turkey. Demand for prompt deliveries is low and the exporters are only providing limited offers. The market is rather anticipating the arrival of the new crop.

Turkey has so far exported nearly 258,000 mt of sultanas this season. The average prices range at 1.612 USD/kg.
