MANISA. Not only the farmgate prices have risen in Turkey but also the export prices. They are set to continue to rise.

Export estimates 2017/18

This year’s export business is rather disappointing as compared to last year. Not even 101,000 mt of sultanas have been shipped this season, although the market is witnessing the lowest prices in years. It is reckoned that another 4,000-5,000 mt will be shipped in the remaining 8 months of the season. Total exports should amount to 250,000-280,000 mt in 2017/18.
