This season, the prices for granulated sugar have been trading on record low levels, but the situation has now changed dramatically. In Germany, the prices for granulated sugar, EC Cat. II, medium have surged by 30 EUR/mt and are now trading on a level of 365-370 EUR/kg DDP Germany. Such high prices have not been seen since the beginning of May.
