GUJARAT. Weekly monitoring with the latest market information from India on cumin, coriander and turmeric, chilli, black pepper and cardamom as well as a price list for more than 70 products.

Cumin

Prices have continued to decline this week and further developments are difficult to predict. Although international freight rates are much cheaper now, only few large importers are buying cumin at present. While India exported 124,390 mt in April-August 2021, shipments only reached 91,500 in the same period in 2022, which is 26% lower. Bangladesh has also cut imports sharply.
