Market players have to look twice at cumin prices this week to make sure they have not made a mistake. In just one week, prices have shot up by a whopping USD 700/mt, and Indian traders say that no predictions can be made about further price developments. There are reports of two "cumin cartels" that have a firm grip on the market and influence price developments through tactics and rumours.
