The price declines on the Indian cumin market continue and are causing increasing concern among traders. Some market players had tried to push prices up by spreading false rumours about crop damage, which had led to temporary stability, but this was short-lived due to weak demand. As neither foreign nor Indian buyers show much interest in buying, there is hardly any trade and prices continue to fall steadily.
