GUJARAT. Weekly monitoring with the latest market information from India on cumin, coriander and turmeric, chilli, black pepper and cardamom as well as a price list for more than 70 products.

Cumin

After the increases of recent weeks, Indian cumin prices have now stabilised at a stable level. China has increased its purchases on the Indian market, which surprises some exporters, as significantly higher yields are expected in China itself this season; there are also other growing countries competing with India on the global market. Nevertheless, Indian market players are optimistic and reckon that their goods will remain in demand. Prices are being dampened by the behaviour of growers, who release larger quantities for sale at the slightest price increase
