Sesame seeds: South Korea buys 7,900 mt from India

NEW DELHI. South Korea issued a tender over two phases for 13,000 mt of sesame seeds within seven days.

Market players had hoped that suppliers in India would win the bids for around 10,000 mt. Although these hopes were disappointed, India nevertheless won 7,900 mt - 61% of the total 13,000 mt. Togo, Niger and Sudan have also won bids. China and Myanmar will, in addition, supply 600 mt and 200 mt respectively.
