NEW DELHI. Cheap offers for sesame seeds in Brazil are giving exporters in India quite a headache. Expectation is that South Korea will issue a small tender in the next few days.

Exporters in India offer seeds from Brazil

The pressure is still on for sesame seeds in India. Domestic demand is subdued and Brazil's new crop is turning out to be fierce competition. Import prices for Brazilian supplies range as low as USD 1,500-1,650/mt in India and certainly are a viable alternative for local suppliers that enables them to meet export demand and make good profits.
