Sesame seeds: Prices shift in direction

NEW DELHI. The last tender from South Korea has created a great stir in the market in India. Rumours are now afloat stating that there may be a new tender towards the end of August.

 

The aftermath of the strike

The strikes are over, and the drivers have returned to work, meaning that more seeds are now available in the spot markets. For the exporters, who must deliver their seeds to Korea in time, the strikes, have caused enormous setbacks. Market supplies are simply too limited, and the exporters need to hurry to be able to ship in time to ward off possible fines if delays occur.
