Sesame seeds: India secures lion's share of the tender

NEW DELHI/SEOUL. In addition to Indian suppliers, exporters from Burkina Faso and Nigeria scored in this week's sesame seed tender. Sesame seed stocks in Pakistan are expected to run out.

4,100 mt come from India

The current sesame seed tender has been completed and Indian exporters were able to secure a good share. A total of 10,000 mt of sesame seeds were tendered for delivery in two intervals and Indian traders were awarded a total of 4,100 mt. Depending on the company and delivery date, the bids of the suppliers who were ultimately awarded the contract ranged from USD 1,570.90/mt to USD 1,628/mt.
