NEW DELHI. Too high prices have already delayed a tender in the past. Traders in India have now adopted a more cautious approach for the current tender from Korea.

Attracting buyers

Many traders have gone down in price to avoid putting off the buyers in Korea again. It should however be noted that the prices on offer are still 300-400 USD/mt above last year’s price level. Further price drops are out of the question once the tender results have been announced. Unoffcial bidding reports state that as much as 18,900 mt have been offered from suppliers in Pakistan, Vietnam and India and Africa so far. However, the tender only comprises 10,000 mt. The results are to be announced on Monday.
