NEW DELHI. South Korea has launched the next tender after some positions from the last shipments had to be rejected. The impact of the Indonesian palm oil market was below expectations and growers are hesitant to sow for the coming crop.

Details of the new tender

Due to stricter requirements, larger quantities of the last tender shipments of Indian sesame seeds to South Korea had to be rejected as they did not meet the new guidelines. As a result, another tender was opened at short notice to make up the difference. South Korea wants to purchase a total of another 4,740 mt of sesame seeds; the deliveries must take place between mid-November and early December. The result of the tender should be announced by the end of this week.
