Sesame seeds: New crop delayed yet again

NEW DELHI. Traders in India are basing their offers on the demand situation. The tender from South Korea is being met by divided opinions.

Traders do not give up

Some market players fear that the sesame seeds from India may no longer be attractive for South Korea as stricter pest controls have been introduced this year. Other traders are, however, more optimistic in reckoning with good chances in winning some bids next week. Sesame seeds from Africa are no longer considered as viable alternatives.
