Sesame: Good demand despite high prices

NEW DELHI. A notable price decline in the Indian sesame market is not in sight for the time being, and this week the trend was once again stable to stronger.

No recovery in sight
The Indian sesame exporters are currently pleased with the comparatively good foreign demand, including from Europe. Furthermore, the market participants are already expecting an additional sesame tender from South Korea in the coming weeks. Thereby, the supplies are rapidly running out, as the main harvest will only be available in a few months.
