U.S. Rice shipments to China expected to start slowly, Next two months are Important for US Rice Industry - Rice Experts

After 10 years of continuous efforts, the signing of the Phytosenitary Protocol for ship shipment of rice and rice between china and US. On July 19 is a major achievement for US rice traders. The US rice industry hopes that the delegation from China in September will visit Rice Industries of America, and only after the green signal that the US will be able to make its first shipments to China until the beginning of 2018. Rice exporters of the United States believe that if everything was okay, China could prove to be the world's largest market for rice exporters.

Bob Cumming, chief CEO of USA Rice, says that currently rice shipments are not expected to begin immediately. He said, "We are working together with US exporters and USDA so that China's first consignment of rice can be converted into a reality. As the Phytosanitary Protocol has been signed. 'This means that at the end of September, Chinese inspectors in South and South American California can access the US Rice Industries.

He said that USA rice has identified 25 to 28 facilities in the United States, which is fully convincing on the scale of quality. And, which can be exported to China. Those facilities, most of which can be visited by rice mills, till September.

China is the world's largest consumer and importer of rice, and if things go smoothly then we expect shipping in early 2018, "he said. Those shipments are expected to start slower and hopefully they will gain momentum in 2018 and 2019.

This will affect the worlds present demand and supply tradition.
