KIEW. According to reports, rapeseed prices in the Ukraine have fallen significantly in recent days.

Rapeseed prices are being adjusted

Rapeseed prices in Ukraine have fallen by around 1,500 UAH, or the equivalent of 52 EUR, in the last two weeks. Market participants report that rapeseed with an oil content of 40% was traded at a level of 11,000 UAH/mt (379 EUR/mt). At the end of July the oilseed was still quoted at 12,500 UAH/mt (430.75 EUR/mt).

The reason for this price decline could be the crop forecasts for the 2019-20 season. The US Department of Agriculture estimates Ukrainian rapeseed production at 3.9 million mt in 2019, an increase of 37% over the previous year.
