DALIAN. The prices in China have remained reasonably stable for a surprisingly long time. Over the last few weeks, the prices have, however, picked up noticeably.

Supplies are limited, prices rise

The demand for Chinese pumpkin seeds has continued to drop this season. This has added pressure to the market and has kept prices relatively low, despite the decline in production.

Market players had already reported some time ago that the raw seed prices were rising in China. Until recently, however, this did not have a significant impact on the export market. The opposite was rather the case, to sell their old stocks, exporters at times even tried to undercut each other as far as possible in order to attract potential buye
