Pumpkin seeds: Searching for business partners

DALIAN. Chinese pumpkin seed exporters hope to conclude some business deals at the SIAL. Despite the smaller crop, raising prices is too risky for suppliers.

 

All resources are being exhausted
The smaller acreage has reduced production significantly compared to last year and the new crop will be ready for export in a few days' time. Nevertheless, the prices for Chinese pumpkin kernels have remained stable for weeks.

The SIAL, the world's largest food innovation exhibition, will take place in Paris on 21-25 October. Traders from China hope to revive exports in cooperating with new and old business partners. Their main target is the European market. The only other buyers are the local roasting companies
