Pumpkin seeds: lower limit for farmgate prices

DALIAN. After the commodity prices for shine skins on the Chinese market dropped once again, traders now do not expect further price decreases.

No further price cuts for the time being

According to market players, farmgate prices in the shine skin market have now levelled off and are at CNY 16.2/kg. Traders expect that the lowest limit has been reached for the time being and that there will be no further price decreases. Of the approximately 80,000 mt of shine skins that are likely to still be on the market, 40,000-50,000 mt are in the hands of large speculators who are trying to sell at higher prices.
