DALIAN. The harvest of conventional pumpkin seeds is coming to an end in China, while organic goods are still being harvested until the end of October. Buyers are currently holding back, as prices are in a downward spiral and will continue to decline.

Prices follow downward trend

The pumpkin seed harvest in China is currently still in full swing, but is drawing to a close and will be completed in the next few days. As more and more new produce is now reaching the markets, prices are gradually falling. Export demand is currently still low and things are hardly looking any better on the domestic market. The transitional period means that suppliers are currently only stocking up on the bare essentials and have not yet wanted to build up large stocks.
