DALIAN. Harvesting is about to start in China and the prospects are highly encouraging for pumpkin seeds. The Mid-Autumn festival should boost demand.

Sellers speculate on Moon Festival

Despite harvesting about to start, the market should gain some support. Issue is that domestic demand for bakery kernels will wake up for the Mid-Autumn Festival, which will be celebrated on 17 September and is also known as the Moon Festival. The new crop will arive by the end of August and is growing very well at present. If the current weather conditions prevail in the next few weeks the harvest will be good.
