DALIAN. While trade has picked up on the Chinese shine skin market, with delays only due to rising Covid infections, the GWS market continues to stagnate. There is bad news from Inner Mongolia, which is an important organic growing area.

The first pumpkin seeds of the new crop are expected to reach the markets a little later than expected. As the Covid infection rate in the growing areas has skyrocketed in recent weeks, there are sometimes delays in collecting the goods and consequently also in deliveries. An official crop quantity has not yet been announced, but estimates for the 2022 shine skin crop are around 220,000 mt.
