Pumpkin seeds: Cheap imports for Europe

DALIAN. Conducting business with potential buyers in Europe is tiresome with customers arguing over every penny. Things do, however, look better in the US. Market players report that buying interest is on the rise.

 

Trade war with US drives up demand

Exporters in China recently observed a rise in demand from domestic roasters. However, the reports stating that US importers intend to stock up on Shine Skins by the end of the year are much more decisive for pushing prices. US importers will have to pay an import duty of 25% on raw materials such as pumpkin kernels after the turn of the year instead of the 10% they currently pay.
