Oilseeds update: New price corrections

FRANKFURT. Monitoring of the oilseed sector with day-to-day price comparisons.

Subdued export demand and encouragin prodcution prospects in India and in Africa have prompted further price declines in the sesame seed market in India. Natural sesame seeds are currently trading in a range of USD 1.55-1.65 per kg CIF Hamburg and hulled sesame seeds for USD 1.80-1.90 per kg CIF Hamburg. The prices for pumpkin kernels have also declined in China. There is less tension in the market for blue poppy seeds in the Czech Republic, whereas the exporters in Turkey are currently unable to offer larger volumes.
