Oilseeds update: markets show mixed tendencies

FRANKFURT. Monitoring of the oilseed sector with day-to-day price comparisons.

While GWS pumpkin kernels are trading in a stable range in China, shine skins are trading nominally higher. Some offers for grade A shine skins range well over USD 3,000 per metric tonne. Meanwhile, subdued demand is being reported for sesame seeds in India. In Ethiopia, sesame seeds with a purity of 99.9% purity are trading at USD 1.55 per kg FOB Djibouti.

Trading in flaxseed is still rather difficult in Eastern Europe. Reference prices currently range at EUR 0.56-0.58 per kg DDP Germany. Farmgate prices for brown flaxseed with a 97% purity range at EUR 0.35-0.36 per kg FCA Ka
