Sluggish demand has prompted a further decline in prices for hulled sesame seeds in Inda. Reports, in addition, state that India imported large volumes of sesame seeds from Africa before the lockdown was imposed and the imminent arrival of the summer crop will add a further 80,000-100,000 metric tonnes to market supplies. At 40,000-45,000 metric tonnes, prodcution ranged much lower last year.
