As traders in the Czech Republic report, the hot temperatures have had an impact on the blue poppy seed crop in the western parts of the country. Rumour has it that the yields only range as low as 600 kg per hectare. Contrary to this, prospects are highly encouraging in the East. More detailed estimatesshould be issued next week, after the first fields have been harvested.

Therefore, it is virtually impossible to come by any offers. Farmers and traders refuse to sell. The very few offers available range at EUR 1.95 to 2.00 per kg FCA Czech Republic.
