Oil seeds up to date: EU disappoints suppliers in China

FRANKFURT. Daily monitoring of the oil seed sector – the latest price developments.

 

Disaster has struck for the pumpkin seed suppliers in China. There is virtually no demand in Europe since the market is well supplied. Demand in China is also very lacklustre. Problem being that the Chinese New Year, prior to which demand revives, is taking place as late as February and the roasters are playing for time.

Demand for blue poppy seeds is also lacking and the farmers have now drastically reduced their prices. The sesame seeds market in India is stable.
