SEEHEIM. The Mundus Agri team wishes you a relaxing holiday season and a good start to the new year. For this reason, CEO Jakob Megow would like to thank you personally.

Dear customers, trading partners and readers,

My name is Jakob Megow and I am CEO of the Dedere Deutschland GmbH. The Mundus Agri team has had a turbulent business year with some internal restructuring. Just like in 2020, we could observe how the coronavirus pandemic has affected the food and feed commodity markets. It is mainly political decisions in the form of imposed measures that can turn an entire corporate strategy completely upside down. Furthermore, we have clearly experienced that the market uncertainties make it more difficult to plan consumption.

Also, the high volatility of all markets, not only in the raw material sector, but also in the packaging and logistics segments, have led to trading transactions of mostly short delivery periods. In our view, it has never before been so important to acquire independent and up-to-date information on commodities.

Improvements implemented in 2021

As of the second quarter of 2021, our IT department has initiated the restructuring of the Mundus Agri homepage with maximum effort, with the aim of improving the user experience and making the tools much easier to find and navigate.

We have simplified the registration process to make it easier for new customers to access our services. Together with our external consultants, we also took the necessary steps to generate significantly better visibility on the web. As a result, we have seen a tremendous growth in membership. In addition, we put the development focus on an improved overview of market news as well as offers and enquiries on Mundus Agri.

Did you know that we broker soft commodities?

In addition to the market information and the various trading tools on Mundus Agri, we support companies through our trading department, which is spread across international field offices. This enables us to better support our members on Mundus Agri when it comes to procurement or distribution and we help companies to act faster and more efficiently by drawing on our network of contacts.

Feel free to learn about the benefits and contact our leading traders.

Our plans and visions

Mundus Agri's goal is to provide maximum support to companies in the food sector, at all levels. 2022 will be a year full of surprises and maximum benefits for our customers. All the tools we developed for Mundus Agri are tools that we need for our daily work. Any added value they generate will be shared with our members.

We want to continue to improve time-to-market and provide communication channels and contract security for our partners. In the coming year, our system will be process optimised and accelerated. Another factor is the market coverage of organic products and the fundamental expansion of our portfolio in news and trade.

Growth in staff

Our trade department keeps growing steadily. In 2021, we took another step with our field office in London; we exclusively serve Scandinavia, Poland and the UK from London. For 2022, we have already planned further branch offices in order to open up markets and to bring companies together globally, so that time barriers can be better dealt with on the trade side and communication between suppliers and customers is improved.

We thank you!

In 2021, almost 130,000 people used our Mundus Agri software. We would like to say a big thank you to our loyal members. Your trust is our motivation!

The entire team wishes you a peaceful end of the year and a healthy, successful 2022.
