Millet: EU imports down

DALIAN/BRUSSELS. Traders are keen to sell off a few stocks before the Chinese New Year, but demand remains moderate. Meanwhile, shipments from China to the EU have risen by 20%.

Demand falls short of expectations

There is currently more than enough millet available on the Chinese market. Traders are using the upcoming New Year festivities to promote their goods, and reduced prices are also intended to make millet more attractive to buyers. However, demand is still falling short of expectations. Many buyers want to wait and see before replenishing their stocks.
