ORDU. Turkey is celebrating the end of the fasting period. Little surprise that the market was quiet at the beginning of the week. New impulses are, however, to be expected very soon.

These could either be official crop estimates or the farmers' price expectations.

Buyers are covered

The price trend in the last few weeks has been mainly stable to falling, with temporary upward peaks. A similar trend can be expected for hazelnuts, natural, 11-13 mm in the short run. But smaller kernels are slowly running low causing the prices to rise. This will mainly affect small kernel preparations and paste. Buyers were not really impressed by this, since many processors have already stocked up for the rest of the season.
