After witnessing shocking hikes in Turkey at the start of the season, stability is the current buzz word for the hazelnut market. Raw nut prices exceeded unaffordable TRY 100/kg in September as it emerged that the crop would be smaller in size than anticipated and that quality was a concern. Fortunately, prices have slipped to a more moderate TRY 91-92/kg for in-shell hazelnuts in Levant quality in recent weeks.
