Hazelnuts: golden opportunity for TMO

ORDU. Just how can they get it so wrong is precisely what some buyers are thinking about this year’s hazelnut crop in Turkey. While official projections initially ranged above 800,000 mt, pessimistic voices are reckoning with a production as low as 400,000-500,000 mt. Bleak as the current scenario in Turkey is, things are, however, not quite as bad as some reports indicate. Good news, for instance, is that the quality of the new arrivals is improving. Some producers are, in fact, quite pleased at the moment.
