BAKU/ORDU. The TMO’s decision to purchase hazelnuts has caused a stir in the market. Suppliers in Azerbaijan are waiting to see how the market in Turkey will react.

 

Surprisingly calm response in Turkey

Last week, the TMO decided to purchase hazelnuts at a bid price of 14.00-14.50 TRY/kg. Market players reported that the farmers were queuing up to and speculations were rife that Ferrero would also issue a new bid price to prevent the farmers from selling their supplies to the TMO. Market players unanimously agree that the market giant still requires supplies.
