ORDU. Export demand is performing well above average, and the market is slowly reacting to the continuously high purchase interest.

 

Significant price differences continue
Since 01 May was an international public holiday the week has started off slowly. Instead of the stronger Turkish lira, it is the weaker Euro that has driven up raw nut prices slightly. Above-average export demand additionally ensures that export prices gained momentum as well – they are currently at 4.50–4-85 EUR/kg DDP Germany. This appears to be a temporary trend; however, market participants are not counting on any turnaround just yet. Since the beginning of the season, around 215,000 mt of hazelnut
