The largest producers in the continent, despite recent poor forecasts, will achieve a good yield

The European Union will gather a rich harvest of rape in 2017, despite the adverse
climatic conditions ranging from extreme heat and drought to recent torrential rains,
writes zol.ru.
Until now, a number of European experts have come to unanimity. As a result, rape
imports are expected to decrease by 500,000 tonnes in the 2017/2018 season,
reaching 4 million tonnes.
Better than expected is the crop of this crop in France and Germany - the main
European producers.
France plans to raise 4.7 million tonnes, which is 1.5% less than last year's
performance. In Germany, rape production grew by 4.6% to 4.78 million tonnes.
Poland ranks third in the EU by volume. This year, it will harvest a crop of 2.9 million
tons, which is 31% more than a year earlier.
Britain will achieve a harvest of 1.9-2 million tonnes of rapeseed. This indicator is
better than last year when the country picked up 1.77 million tonnes
