NUR-SULTAN. Exchange rate fluctuations have prompted a drastic shift in export prices. In addition, there are nominal delays in customs clearances at the border to China.

Tenge prompts decline in price

Trading is largely subdued in the flaxseed market in Kazakhstan. The decline in value of the tenge against other currencies has prompted a drop in prices.  Brown flaxseed with a 97% purity is currently trading in a range of EUR 0.34-0.35 per kg EXW. In Europe, the reference prices for cleaned flaxseed with a 99.9% purity have, however, remained firm at EUR 0.58-0.61 per kg DDP Germany.
