Flaxseed: Russia doubles exports

MOSCOW/FRANKFURT. Russia reportedly doubled its flaxseed exports in October 2019. In September, however, shipments to Germany were still well below last year's result.

Ailing September shipments 

In September 2019, 13.893 metric tonnes of flaxseed were imported into Germany, which is an increase of 4.4% compared to last year. In particular, countries such as Kazakhstan, France and Poland increased their exports significantly. At the same time, imports from Russia within this period were cut by 50% to 2.191 metric tonnes compared to September last year.
